Health Insurance

The world of individual health insurance continues to change. Individuals in the State of Oregon have a choice to purchase medical insurance inside and outside of the Health Insurance Marketplace (the Federal Exchange website, Healthcare.gov). Current benefit plans continue to change due to health care reform. This can be a confusing market for those who have had coverage and those who are purchasing health insurance for the first time. Our agents are very knowledgeable in how the Exchange works. Let us help you with this process so you can quickly make the right decision for you and your family. Open enrollment for the Exchange (Healthcare.gov) begins November 1, and is effective January 1.

At Pacific Benefit Consultants, we understand what Oregonians are looking for in health coverage because we live, work, and play here, too. Like you, we believe that health insurance should be affordable, flexible, and accessible to everyone. That's why Healthcare.gov was created—to be the single best place for individuals and their families to purchase health insurance coverage.

To simplify the shopping experience, Healthcare.gov provides an "apples-to-apples" comparison of health plans. Additionally, tools have been implemented to assist in finding the right plan for your specific needs. Whatever plan you choose, it's going to be the right one for your budget, lifestyle, and health care needs.

Many individuals will benefit from purchasing insurance at Healthcare.gov, where they might receive a tax break to help them purchase a health plan. Open enrollment for 2017 is closed, but certain individuals may qualify for a special enrollment period, allow you to purchase insurance now. There are some specific rules related to the special enrollment period, and our knowledgeable individual insurance specialists can help you.

The 2018 open enrollment period begins November 1, 2017, and ends December 15, 2017.

Dental Insurance

Need dental coverage? Let one of PBC’s individual health and dental experts help you find the best solution for you and your family. We sell dental insurance through all major carriers, including Moda (ODS), Regence, PacificSource, Willamette Dental, and many others.

Individual and group dental insurance plans typically have comparable benefits. However, if you don’t have current dental coverage, the use of full benefits may be subject to satisfying a preliminary waiting period. Dental insurance plans commonly have a small deductible, but many plans cover preventive services prior to the deductible requirement being satisfied. There are many options for all Oregonians. Let us help you find the one that is right for you. Seniors can qualify as well.
